Deadline: 24 February 2027

The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals is a fully funded opportunity for ambitious leaders wanting to study in Europe without tuition fees or high living costs. The financial package covers entire tuition fees, provides a tax-free monthly stipend of SEK 12,000 for rent and food, and includes a travel grant for airfare, comprehensive insurance against illness, and membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals.

To be eligible for the 2027 intake, you must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries and possess at least 3,000 hours of work experience prior to February 2027. You can combine experience from up to three different employers. If you are from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, or Ukraine, the 3,000-hour rule does not apply, and you only need demonstrated experience.

Application Phases and Deadlines

The application process involves two different portals at two different times. Phase 1 requires you to apply to a university between 16 October 2026 and 15 January 2027. Phase 2 involves preparing your documents between 13 November 2026 and February 2027, as the scholarship portal is only open for about 15 days. Phase 3 is the scholarship application submission, which runs from 8 to 24 February 2027.

How to Apply

  • Apply for a university course through the university admissions portal between 16 October 2026 and 15 January 2027.
  • Prepare your documents early between 13 November 2026 and February 2027.
  • Submit your scholarship application through the official portal between 8 and 24 February 2027.
  • Write a strong motivation letter using tailored points rather than generic buzzwords, and have a friend review it before submitting.
