JAMB registrar pledges trust rebuilding and fee stability
The registrar promises to improve service delivery, expand server capacity and keep application fees unchanged unless justified.

Professor Segun Aina, registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, addressed a meeting in Abuja. He said the board will work on restoring candidates’ trust and easing the stress around examinations and admissions. The board is removing operational bottlenecks and using technology to improve service delivery, and it will not raise application fees without clear justification.
Aina welcomed a delegation from the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria and noted their support for expanding the board’s server infrastructure for computer‑based tests. He also met representatives from the Institute for Economics and Peace, agreeing in principle with aspects of its proposals, particularly the need to improve the use of data in Nigeria’s education sector, while stressing that any fee increase must be necessary and justified.
The registrar advised the IEP to extend its engagement to other regulatory bodies to broaden impact across the education sector.
