Admissions open for the six new full‑time programmes in the 2027/2028 session, expanding options for prospective students.

Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has received formal approval from the National Universities Commission to start six new academic programmes. Prospective students may apply for these programmes from the 2027/2028 academic session.
The approval was issued in a letter dated 22nd October 2026, signed by the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Dr Ayuba Mohammed, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary. The letter states that the new programmes are approved only for full‑time delivery and must use the approved nomenclature.
A Resource Verification Visit by expert panels assessed the university’s human and material resources to ensure compliance with national standards. Vice‑Chancellor Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele thanked the NUC Executive Secretary for the endorsement.
Professor Ayodele also thanked the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his support, noting that the approval reflects the governor’s commitment to academic excellence and global relevance.
