Grey launches Paycheck salary account for foreign currency earners
Workers earning in dollars, pounds or euros can now use a dedicated account with higher interest and no minimum requirements.

Grey, a Y Combinator-backed cross-border payments firm, has released a new salary account called Paycheck for workers who receive earnings in US dollars, British pounds or euros. The product was announced at TechCabal’s Moonshoot event on Wednesday and is aimed at professionals employed by foreign or international companies.
Paycheck lets users designate Grey as their regular salary destination, automatically organise salary transactions and view earnings in a single dashboard. Existing Grey customers can activate the service directly in the app, while those using other providers can switch by sharing their Grey account details with employers or payroll services. The account becomes active when the next salary arrives and carries no extra fees or minimum salary requirements.
Grey says the offering includes higher interest on its Pouches, larger transaction limits and priority customer support. As part of the launch, the company will run monthly reward draws where five eligible users receive a salary bonus and another 100 users each get one free outgoing transfer.
Chief executive officer and co-founder Idorenyin Obong explained that the service addresses a gap between international employment opportunities and the financial tools available to manage recurring earnings. He noted that employees should not have to sort through multiple transactions after a month of work and that salary management is central to meeting daily expenses, planning and building financial security.
According to ADP Research’s 2025 'People at Work' report, 57 percent of workers worldwide live paycheque to paycheque, highlighting the pressure on employees to manage earnings against regular expenses. Grey’s Paycheck aims to turn salary receipts into a more structured financial relationship by combining income tracking with additional account benefits.
Grey currently serves more than three million users across 70 countries, with payout services in over 170 destinations. The firm is registered with FINTRAC in Canada and FinCEN in the United States and operates through regulated financial partners. With Paycheck, Grey seeks to move beyond simple cross-border payments to help users organise and manage recurring foreign-currency earnings within a dedicated salary account.
